It's been awhile....

It's been like a month or something since I last posted, so update time!

Seussical: We have coryographed up to the end of How Lucky You Are (the one after Chasing the Whos) ANd have done harmonies for about as far. Havn't had any costume fittings yet. But I know that all the Whos wear Yellow (greeeat color for my incredibly pale skin, n'est-ce pas?)

Wise Men Worship Him: Performance is in exactly a Month! December 13th! eek! We have aloooooot to chorygraph and then teach the kids! Blocking is going well though. From what I know(not my department). My mom guest directed the other week. She wrote it, so it was interesting.....

Choir: Sunday is the first rehearsal for the church choir my dad is directing. (I know, my mom writes and directs, and my dad writes music, I do muscial theatre, we all sing (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass we're a one family quartet!) we have a weird family) I don't know what the songs are but I know it'll be fun. We did it last year and I had tons of fun. We sang Carol of the Bells, and I did the Soprano part. I'll put a link on the blog over on the side there.

That's all for now!

I SAW WICKED!!!!!

I saw Wicked on Thursday! EEEEEEEEEEE! It was so amazing, I was on the edge of my chair the whole time. It was just...wow. No words describe my complete and total amazment at the wonderfulness of the magnificent experience known as Wicked. I went with my mom, and even she was like "WOAH!" afterwards!(My mom is not like that after everything, she's also very picky about standing ovations, but for Wicked she wholeheartedly agreed that it was worthy!)

Different topic:
I got the cast list for Seussical and I am in the Who chorus! Yay! I am also the understudy for Mrs. Mayor, who my freind Deanna is playing. We had our first reahearsal the other day, and coryographed Oh The Thinks You Can Think. The show is going to be great!

Other different topic: The first rehearsal for Wise Men Worship Him (the show I'm teching for) was on Friday. It went pretty well. We got through a whole song, and the kids seemed to remember it all. I just hope they can remember it for next week too!

Seussical Callbacks!

I HAVE CALLBACKS ON TUESDAY!!!
Okay, now that that's out of my system, I'm being called back for Mrs. Mayor and the Sour Kangaroo!

On a different topic, I'm going to be teching for the christmas musical that they're doing at my old church. I'll be working with kids from 2nd to 6th grade, teaching them choreography, and helping in general. I'm looking forward to doing it, as I've wanted to tech for a year or so now, but I didn't feel up to doing it at my normal theatre. My schedule is about to get alot more busy. Wish me a broken leg! ;-)

Suessical auditions...(insert dramatic menacing music please)

I AUDITIONED ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!! YAY! It was completely nerve wracking, but I always get nervous befor auditions/shows, so no biggie. Anyways. If you are familiar with Suessical then you'll recognize the parts I tried out for.
1. Gertrude McFuzz. I love the character and her songs are great.
2. Mrs. Mayor. A good part to have lines and develop character.
3. Sour Kangaroo. Okay, admit it. Who doesn't want to be the Sour Kangaroo? She has a wonderful singing roll with tons of attitude!
That being said, I'm going to listen to my CD over and over again until I get the cast list. Wish luck to my family as they will have to hear it too. (Mostly, I do have earbuds)

My next show is....

Drumroll please! My next show is......Suessical! I don't know anything about it yet because I don't get my audition materials until Tuesday, but my freind's brother is in it somewhere else so I've heard the songs. Please comment if you have/will be in it! I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Flapper! is done......awwww...

Well, yesterday was the last of three performances of Flapper! I had a lot of fun doing it, and want to say thanks to Dakota for the coryography (I'll never forget those dances!), Hannah for teaching us all our harmonies, Katherine and Elora for Co-Stage Managering (you guys do so much!), Kenn for being on the booth with the lights, and Lauren for Assistant Directing. Alspo Jake and Yusef for helping keep quiet in the green room! I'd also like to say thanks to me freinds who came to see me. I'll post a picture soon!

Flapper!

Hi! This is a blog for me to randomly talk about muscials that I have seen/are in. The most recent show that I'm performing in is called Flapper! In it I play the Duchess of Milford and am married to my little brother. Thankfully it's not a romantic thing, we're just con artists! It's always fun being the villian! I'm performing in two weeks and don't know my lines yet. Isn't that perpared of me? But I've been in 15 other musicals before and do not forsee problems ( as I'm a bit of a procrostinator and allways leave it this late). Wish me luck!
